is a digital producer
Ripley got her start working for NPR members stations in 2013. Since then, her work has been featured on broadcast programs and podcasts across the United States. The documentary-style stories she tells are grounded in the art of a good interview.
Her personal radio documentary, Tie My Tubes, garnered praise in 2016 from listeners nationwide. In 2017, she collaborated with journalist and audio artist Davis Land to produce the mini series Dear: The Letters Between Two Friends.
In 2018, she won the Social Butterfly Award for documenting her team’s participation in KCRW’s 24-Hour Radio Race; she received recognition from judges for the “inventive energy” demonstrated in her team’s submission, Other Side of the Closet.
With a deep appreciation for film and television, Ripley produces videos. She directed and edited KUOW’s 2018 marketing video and the trailer video for the Battle Tactics For Your Sexist Workplace podcast. As professional social media strategist in 2018 and 2019, Ripley managed official accounts with a following over 110k for Seattle’s largest NPR station.
She now manages social media for Vulcan Productions — where she helps create a better world one story at a time.
