I started making radio and podcasts in 2013 while working as an intern for KUOW Public Radio. For two years, I cut tape for the midday talk show “The Record” and learning everything I could about engineering in-studio conversations, the art of the interview, operating a sound board, and splicing recordings in Adobe Audition. I fell in love with audio storytelling as a medium, and created an independent radio documentary about reproductive health.
After a second internship at KNKX Public Radio, I started freelance producing for NPR programs like WHYY’s The Pulse and earned a full-time gig as Yellowstone Public Radio’s All Things Considered host and sold a series to KEXP called Day Job. With years of professional broadcast and digital audio production under my belt, I created Brie Ripley Podcast Consulting in 2015 and have helped many indie podcasters produce and market their own shows.

Our team won the “Social Butterfly” award and our story aired on KCRW Santa Monica’s “UnFictional” in August 2018.
